Vitamin C is the king of antioxidants. It strengthens the immune system and provides radiant skin. Found in various fruits and veggies (blackcurrants, berries, broccoli, guava, lemon, sweet potatoes etc.) vitamin C produces collagen to boost the supply of blood to your skin.
No Crash Diets
Losing and regaining weigh repeatedly? Stop. Today. Repeatedly indulging in crash diets causes sagging and stretch marks. Crash diets are more often short on essential vitamins and minerals too. Go on for a long period and crash dieting will reflect on your skin, and it won’t be good.
Eat that Fat
The fats found in avocados, fish, nuts and seeds provide essential fatty acids – a natural moisturiser. These fats are also packed with vitamin E (many of us lack), which helps protect against free radical damage.
There’s no way anyone can emphasise enough about the importance of water. In fact, even mild dehydration could make your skin look dry and tired. You need six to eight glasses of water a day. Although all fluids count, water scores the highest. And yes, avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, both deteriorate your skin.
